About
The London Design Map has been developed by Catalyst and the London Development Agency to promote and provide information about the considerable design resources within 26 Design Schools in the London region.
Design Schools is the term used to describe the specialist design resources within Universities, departments, faculties and specialist higher education colleges within what the DCMS Staying Ahead report describes as a 'global creative powerhouse'.
The map has been developed in consultation with organisations including the Design Council, Think London and London Higher. The data within the map is derived from the following sources:
- The Design Schools own websites
- Directly from the Design Schools
- The University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS)
- The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA)
- 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (HEFCE)
The information within the map will be regularly updated and we welcome any comments or suggestions to help improve the quality of information and usability of the site.
Brunel University and White Loop have worked with the LDA, Catalyst and stakeholders to develop, design and implement the London Design Map.
